USE THE CLASS BLOG FOR 2 OUTSIDE SOURCES:

3 PAGES, DOUBLE SPACED, SIZE 12 TIMES NEW ROMAN
Pick ONE of the essay topics below for your paper. USE TWO OUTSIDE SOURCES!!!

1)      Discuss the role of PTSD in “A Perfect Day for Bananafish.” This would require some research into PTSD and comparing it to what we see from Seymour in the story. Use examples from the texts along with outside sources to support your thesis.
2)      How does Nawabdin change over the course of his story? What is like in the first half of the story and what/why does he change in the second half? How does this complicate your view of him as a character? Use examples from the texts along with outside sources to support your thesis.
3)      Explain how the main character from at least two of the stories: “Nawabdin,” “A Perfect Day for Bananafish” and The Castaway change over the course of their respective stories. Use examples from the texts along with outside sources to support your thesis.

AVOID USING DIRECT QUOTES IN YOUR INTRODUCTION OR CONCLUSION.
Do not retell the story! Analyze and explain your thesis (which is your main point).
Quote the stories we read and your two outside sources/
Read over your work. Have someone else read over your work.

Monday Nov 12

Hi Class,

My daughter woke up in the middle of the night with a very high fever so I have to take her the doctor and watch her today.

I’ll collect the papers on Wednesday.
